Your readings stay yours.
The Lux Light Meter Android app is designed to work offline. It has no accounts, advertising, analytics, or cloud sync.
What the Android app stores
Saved readings, session samples, notes, named locations, and your settings are stored on your device. The ambient light sensor is the source of live measurements. The app does not use the camera for metering and does not request runtime permissions.
When data leaves your device
Your measurements leave the app only when you choose to export them using the system share sheet. You decide which app or destination receives the CSV file.
Deleting your data
You can delete individual readings or all saved readings inside the app. Deleting a named location keeps its readings and removes the location tag. CSV files you have already shared or saved outside the app are managed separately at their destination.
This showcase website
The light explorer on this website uses simulated values, without accessing your camera or light sensor. It runs in your browser and creates a local CSV download when you choose to export an example. It does not save measurements to an application database or submit them to Lux. The public website at lux.eaprism.com is hosted on Cloudflare, which handles network requests and website delivery.
